  • WHAT HAPPENED?

There is still work to be done by the Red Dragons in a bid to secure a top-three finish in League Two. They have three games left to take in this season and could see a step up onto the third rung of the English Football League ladder confirmed at the end of a home date with Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Until that step up is made, everyone at SToK Racecourse is eager to avoid any distractions. That means thoughts of who and what may be required in order to be competitive in League One are being put on hold for now.

  • WHAT PARKINSON SAID

Phil Parkinson has said when asked about recruitment plans: “At the moment, for myself, the focus is purely on these last few games and I'm not letting my mind drift to anything else. We need to put all our energy into preparations. If we were able to get over the line and get promotion, we've got a long time to plan and build the squad strong for next year whatever division we're in.”

    WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?

Hollywood co-owners Reynolds and McElhenney have always been supportive when it comes to making funds available for additions. They are aware that reinforcements will be required if another promotion is secured, with the playing field beginning to level out once League One is reached – with there plenty of other ambitious clubs to be found in that division.
